Accounts General / How do I renew my account?
February 21, 2011, 04:41:13 PM
How do I renew my account?

All web hosting accounts are set to automatically renew.  For billing, one of the following Billing Methods will apply to you.

Auto-Invoice - (2CO Credit Card or PayPal) An invoice will be sent to your contact email 10 days prior to renewal date.  The invoice will contain instructions for making the payment online.
Auto-Bill - (Credit Card) The funds will be automatically charged to your account on the renewal date.

You may change your Billing Method in the BILLING section or by request via support ticket https://my.hostned.com/ce/index.php?fuse=home&view=login

Got it.  Thank you and have a great day.  :D

That is certainly not normal.  Post the ticket number here and I will have Support Tech look into the issue.

Every support ticket is unique.  Depending on the situation some take longer than others but replies typically are given within a couple hours.

Ecommerce / Review: Shopster for Ecommerce
June 30, 2010, 12:34:10 PM
I was asked by a client to investigate potential programs for selling online, both inventory items and drop-shipping of items.  I discovered Shopster and liked what I saw of them.  I am going to use their free trial and report back here with a review of the service.

They allow you to sell on ebay and also accept paypal.  So far so good...

Well, it looks like you are in google
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Ahotovaa.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Also, I advise NOT to put your email address out there in plain text like that.  See the thread about hiding your email address from spammers here.

On May 26th and 27th we will be upgrading the MyHostNed area.  If you have trouble accessing that area within the next couple days it will most likely be due to the upgrade process -- please try again later or contact us.

Thank You

Design Other / Custom 404 Page Creator Widget
March 19, 2010, 09:42:08 AM
I discovered this widget from Google that creates a custom 404 error page that suggests a good relevant page automatically for your user.  If you have a site that gets a considerable number of 404 hits, you might want to check this tool out.

Are you new there in China?

I do not know anything about the software.  It is not ours so it is not an issue.  Our servers here at HostNed are not the issue either.

The problem you are having is most likely stemming from your ISP or from "The Great Firewall" there in China.  I know they block servers from outside China that the government there deems inappropriate -- which is extremely liberal and encompasses things like the video you presented (war footage) or news items that are critical of the party.

Sure David.  It does not appear that you are a customer of HostNed, but thats OK we can try to help you anyways.  Can you tell me a little about your network there?

What is your Operating System (XP, Vista, Mac, etc..)?

Are you behind a router (Linksys, Netgear, etc...)?

Who is your ISP?

Also include any other details that you think might be helpful.
