When you hear about webmail these days, one interface comes to mind.. RoundCube. It is the most commonly used webmail app because it is integrated with cPanel and Plesk control panel systems. While othe webmail apps have fallen to the wayside (Horde, Squirrelmail and others), the development team at RoundCube continue to put out a wonderful product that is fast, versatile, and secure.

So is RoundCube for everybody? Unfortunately no. Especially in it's latest iteration starting in 2024, RoundCube has gone to a vertical preview only model. This decision has been to the dismay of many desktop users who prefer to read their email subjects across the top of the screen and see content of emails across the bottom. RoundCube simply does not support this anymore.

That's why we are happy to provide an alternative called SnappyMail.

What is SnappyMail?

To use SnappyMail, you need to be a HostNed member. If you are a member and wish to access SnappyMail, please open a support ticket requesting your domain to be allowed, and our team will set up access for you free of charge.

SnappyMail is preconfigured for horizontal message preview. This layout allows you to view your messages side-by-side with your inbox, making it more convenient for users with widescreen monitors.

Why was Rainloop Webmail replaced?
We replaced Rainloop Webmail with SnappyMail to provide our users with a better overall email experience and improved security. SnappyMail's advanced features, improved performance, and modern interface make it a superior choice for webmail.
