If you are looking for a way to lessen the amount of unwanted SPAM messages to your inbox, SpamAssassin can be a great help.
SpamAssassin is a powerful, automated mail filter that helps identify and flag unsolicited email (spam) before it hits your inbox. Both
cPanel and
Plesk offer built-in integration with SpamAssassin for easy setup.
This guide walks you through enabling SpamAssassin on your hosting account, depending on whether you're using cPanel or Plesk.

- Optionally, you can:
- Enable Auto-Delete to automatically remove spam emails above a certain score.

📝 Notes & Best Practices- Whitelist important contacts to prevent false positives.
- Check your spam folder regularly—SpamAssassin isn't perfect, and some legitimate mail may get flagged.
- Adjust the sensitivity settings if you notice too much or too little spam being filtered.
- If you're managing multiple email accounts, configure filters per account for more control.

NOTICE: As with any technology that uses pattern recognition (like antivirus software), there is always a small chance of
false positives. This means that
legitimate emails may be mistakenly marked as spam and placed in your Spam folder.
For this reason,
we do not recommend enabling the "Auto-Delete" option in SpamAssassin. Instead, we advise users to
regularly review the contents of their Spam folder before permanently deleting any messages.
Being cautious can help prevent important messages from being lost.
